Progress (Provincial Nomination Program Update)

Things seem to be moving pretty fast now.

After getting the Invitation to Apply (ITA) from the Prince Edward Island Provincial Nomination Program (PEI PNP) last September 1, 2016, we officially replied to their invitation with their requirements on September 15, 2016.

On Monday, September 26, 2016, we received another email from PEI PNP informing us that we have been selected for nomination by the province.

PEI Processing Fee

From feeling discouraged last month, my emotions have now transitioned into a cocktail of excitement, anxiety, and anticipation. I really don’t want to assume anything yet, but getting this far along the whole process is a tremendous blessing already and all one can do now is to just hope and pray that there won’t be any bumps in the road.

Moving to Canada will be a daunting task for anyone and If there’s anything you want to ask, feel free to leave a comment below and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can!

  1. Yay, Congrats! πŸ™‚

If you have time, please write about the PNP application process, like when did you start processing this, did you do this by yourself or with the help of the agency too, is PEI your only option or have you considered other provinces as well, and if you have incurred other expenses when processing this (apart from the CAD 300 mentioned in the screenshot).

I’m thinking I might need to apply for a PNP too, considering the CRS trend πŸ™ Having to read your PNP experience would be a great help.

Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you. πŸ™‚

  2. Congrats.. May i know the agency you have used for your Canada application. My husband and I are planning to immigrate as well via EE or Province nomination. We are still gathering our documents for the start like WES and IELTS. Many thanks

    1. Hi Chrisell!

I really wish that I could give you tips on how to apply, but it took us almost 9 full months before we got any word from PEI after submitting our letter of intent.

There were no replies, updates or anything within that time frame.

I don’t know if the agency assisting us with our application had anything to do with it ,but if ever they did… I would assume that the news might’ve come sooner than it did. So, maybe it was just luck.

I guess the best advise we can give at this moment is to just apply to as many Provincial Nomination programs as you can.

Have you also considered studying in Canada? It’s another way to get an opportunity to eventually become a Permanent Resident.

      Hop this helps. πŸ™‚

  3. Did you send the expression of interest to PEI through your personal email, or through the immigration services you used?

The first time EOI was sent to PEI was through the agency’s email address. I sent one again through my personal email id, without informing the agency! πŸ˜€ lol. But just curious to know which email id you used. thanks

    1. Hi Maple Dreams! πŸ™‚

Technically, no. We didn’t send our CV with our EOI. However, the agency we worked with asked us for our updated CV during the application process. This was used to create an account in the job bank website.

Hope this helps! Good luck. πŸ™‚
